2 BEAUTIFUL SAHABAH STORIES THAT WILL MAKE YOU LAUGH & CRY!

He was wearing two garments made from linen. He took one of the garments and wiped his nose with it. As he did that, memories flooded back to him. He said, "It's like, whoa, man, you made it," expressing a sense of disbelief. Abu Hurairah, wiping his nose with linen, reminisced about his past. He used to be among the poor in Medina, known as Ahl al-Suffa, who lacked family, business, or land for crops. They lived behind the mosque, struggling to survive.

Abu Hurairah recounted moments of extreme hunger in his life. He would walk between the Prophet's pulpit and collapse from hunger. Passersby mistook him for a lunatic and stepped on his neck. His hunger was so severe that he tied a rock to his stomach for pressure and relief. Once, he waited on the road, hoping someone would invite him for food. Abu Bakr and others passed by, oblivious to his plight.

Then, the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) approached. Seeing Abu Hurairah's hunger, the Prophet smiled and invited him home. Abu Hurairah followed, expecting to receive a meal. At the Prophet's house, only a cup of milk was found. Despite Abu Hurairah's hunger, the Prophet insisted on sharing it with others. Abu Hurairah worried about his share but never questioned the Prophet's command.

The Prophet served the milk to each person until only Abu Hurairah and he remained. Abu Hurairah hesitated, fearing there wouldn't be enough for him. But the Prophet encouraged him to drink repeatedly until he couldn't anymore. Finally, Abu Hurairah swore by Allah that he had no space left for milk. Then, the Prophet drank what remained.

Reflecting on this incident, Abu Hurairah marveled at how the Prophet perceived his hunger and taught him generosity. The Quran praises those who prioritize others' needs over their own, a quality exemplified by the Prophet's actions. Abu Hurairah also recalled another incident where a man secretly fed a guest despite his own family's hunger, earning Allah's approval.

In these stories, the spirit of a believer shines through: selflessness, generosity, and humility, even in times of need. They illustrate the essence of Islamic teachings and the profound impact of the Prophet Muhammad's example on his companions.
