Samsung Tab S9 FE - THIS IS IT - YOU ASKED FOR IT!!

I'm providing you with an update on the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE after using this tablet for about 9 months. We're going to talk about the good, the bad, and the ugly, and discuss whether you should even consider this tablet in 2024, based on my experience over the past months. Let's go ahead and jump in. First things first, let me give you my verdict: would I still recommend the Tab S9 FE after using it for 9 months? Yes, I still would, and there are a number of reasons why, which we'll go over shortly. But before we do so, if you are currently in the market for this tablet, make sure to hit the link in the description. It will take you directly to the current deals running with Samsung, and if you have something to trade in, they have elevated rates for that. Hit the link and you'll get more details on that.

Let's go back to the tablet. Why would I recommend this? Well, let's talk about performance for a moment. The S9 FE is loaded with the Exynos 1380. Some people don't like that chip because of how it compares to a Qualcomm Snapdragon chip of the same category, but you shouldn't be doing that. In my experience using this tablet over the past 9 months, performance has been excellent, especially considering the category in which this tablet resides. This is a mid-range tablet, not set to compete against a Tab S9, S8, or S9 Ultra. It's a mid-range tablet, which is why it's priced where it is. Samsung made compromises to meet people where they were. The Tab S9 FE is a mid-range tablet and should not be expected to behave like a flagship tablet. In my user experience, playing games has been good and great. You can play heavy games on here, although some games can't go all the way up to the highest settings simply because it's a mid-range tablet. You can enjoy gaming here. It's not a gamer's tablet, but for the average consumer, it can do more than the average consumer wants. I've been able to multitask here without any issues. If you go heavy like I did, it definitely lags if you push it too much, but if you use it as intended, you'll be just fine.

One of the ugly things about this particular tablet is that if you are trying to push productivity to another level by pushing out a video signal, you won't be able to extend the display to a secondary monitor because the USB type-C port here is a 2.0. It's unfortunate that Samsung downgraded this feature because the iteration of this model prior to this one was able to push out video signals. Personally, I haven't been impacted by this because I don't typically do that with my tablets, but I bring it up because I know it is important to some of you. Other than that, I think performance has been good. As I mentioned, the Exynos 1380 has 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage, which can be expanded up to 1 TB using the microSD card slot. If you were to use the link I suggested, it would take you to the deals. If you can add a little bit of money, move up to the next configuration, which is 256GB of internal storage with 8GB of RAM.

Regarding battery life, it's good. You're looking at a decent-sized battery here, 8,000mAh, the same size as the Tab S8. It's subjective based on how you use it. I'm a power user and tend to go heavy, and I think it's been good based on my type of usage. On top of that, you have support for 45W charging. If you were to run out of battery life, you could quickly get your tablet back up. Not a lot of tablets support 45W charging, so it's very good to have.

Now let's talk about the display. One of the best things about this tablet is the display. You have a 10.9-inch display with an IPS LCD, supporting up to a 90Hz refresh rate. It looks extremely smooth, whether playing games, scrolling, or navigating. The display is also very bright, and the colors pop, making it enjoyable for watching movies, whether inside or outside in direct sunlight. The image quality is also very sharp.

How's this tablet holding up physically after 9 months? It looks perfect, with no scratches or dents. It's very well-built for a mid-range tablet. This is IP68-rated, meaning it's water-resistant. I tested these tablets, and they all survived an hour under the pool. As far as physical attributes go, you have a fingerprint sensor, which is more secure and faster, volume rocker, multiple mics, and a Pogo pin for the keyboard or book cover. The speakers are super crisp, with nice audio quality and perfect placement. The placement of the selfie camera is right in the middle, so you can hold it and still enjoy video calls without covering the audio.

To recap quickly, starting with the bad and the ugly: the USB type-C port doesn't allow for extending the display, and if you push performance too much, it starts lagging. Another thing is that it can get warm when doing really heavy tasks, but not in an alarming way. Everything else is good. The display is fantastic, and overall performance is excellent for a mid-range tablet. Battery life is excellent, with a decent size of 8,000 mAh and support for fast charging. The high refresh rate and sharp image quality make it very good. I still recommend this tablet. If you have any questions, let me know in the comment section.
