Traveling with iPad Pro M4 — Why It’s Really Useful [2024]

Exploring the Versatility and Convenience of the 11-inch M4 iPad Pro on the Go

Today, we’re traveling with the new iPad Pro. Let me show you why traveling with an iPad is so much better than traveling with a Mac. Welcome to another day of life inside the Apple ecosystem. This version in particular is the 11-inch M4 iPad Pro, and I also have the Apple Pencil Pro. It features a nanotexture display, so it’ll be interesting to see how dirty it gets while traveling.

Is there any better way to catch up on your favorite shows than on an airplane? Of course, I had to download a couple of movies and shows on the iPad Pro. While catching up on the latest episodes of Star Wars: The Bad Batch, I truly experienced the quality of the new OLED XDR display, which looked amazing. The nanotextured glass also performed well in sunny conditions, although it wasn’t sunny when we arrived in Paris. Two hours later, it was raining heavily.

Experiencing the iPad on the airplane, especially the 11-inch model, feels just right because of how comfortably it fits on the tray. Apple’s new Smart Folio offers different viewing angles, which makes it really useful for traveling, especially on airplanes. You can choose a viewing angle for typing, one for using the Apple Pencil, and another for watching content. The Smart Folio is slim and thin, and it puts your iPad to sleep when you close it. We’ll talk about the Magic Keyboard later, but the Smart Folio is impressive.

We’ve made it to Paris, and it’s raining like crazy. It’s not the best day for either making this video or traveling, but we’re here for something special. Let me sit down and tell you why I’m in Paris. After some lunch, I wanted to quickly share about the new Magic Keyboard. It has many new features, including a function row to change volume, skip songs, and adjust brightness directly from the keyboard. Most importantly, it’s made of aluminum, which is super cool. For traveling, the compact feel of the Magic Keyboard is fantastic because it essentially turns your 11-inch iPad into a portable laptop. I’ve been replying to some emails on the go, which is super convenient.

The Magic Keyboard transforms your iPad into a laptop when needed, and I love that my iPad can switch between being a tablet and a laptop. Adding the Apple Pencil further enhances the flexibility of the iPad for working on the go, a feature the Mac doesn’t offer.

I’m inside the event now, and I wish I could show you more details about where I am and who I’m with. I can give you a tiny sneak peek, but I can’t reveal the product just yet. The briefing was amazing, and I can’t wait to share more about it. During the briefing, I took notes with the Apple Pencil and the iPad Pro. The new Apple Pencil Pro features a squeeze gesture for quick access to tool palettes, making it incredibly efficient. The iPad Pro seamlessly switches between being a notebook and a tablet, as needed.

The event is almost done, and while I couldn’t show you much, you’ll understand the excitement once the product launches. It’s a significant product launch, and I can’t wait to share more. Now, we’re going to explore a bit of Paris before heading back home. I still want to highlight a few more things that make this iPad Pro more worthwhile than ever.

Here we are at the Louvre Museum, where the Mona Lisa resides. The Eiffel Tower is also nearby. Despite the cloudy day, it’s still wonderful to be in Paris, even if it’s just for less than 24 hours.

I’m in an Uber heading back home, and I want to share one more travel tip. With 16% battery left, the iPad Pro’s USB-C port is incredibly useful. It can act as a massive power bank to charge your iPhone, ensuring you never run out of juice while traveling.

Back at the airport, I wanted to update you on the nanotextured glass on the iPad Pro. After using it all day, I noticed it does get quite dirty, especially when traveling. Apple includes a polishing cloth for cleaning, but unless you frequently work outdoors in sunny weather or write a lot with the Apple Pencil, you might want to reconsider this feature. While it offers a comfortable writing experience and eliminates reflections, the matte finish can attract dirt, and not everyone likes the texture.

In conclusion, traveling with the iPad Pro, especially the 11-inch model with the new accessories, offers unparalleled convenience and versatility. Whether you’re catching up on shows, replying to emails, or attending briefings, the iPad Pro adapts to your needs, making it a superior choice for on-the-go productivity.
